analysis of the quotes from halo.bungie.com

after reading all the quotes, i got a few ideas in my head about how they could relate to the halo srory line. i write this analysis assuming that these quotes are spoken by the aliens.

i gather that the humans started a war with the aliens from "What you have begun in anger you shall end in shame" and "... He says I came not to send Peace but a Sword ...". the war is probably over the halo/ring-world structure. the aliens say "You have brought nothing to this world, and we will ensure you bring nothing out." suggesting that the aliens discovered the structure first and the humans found them on it. the aliens seem to be a very proud, arrogant, and stubborn culture. they boast of their combat prowess and say that they will never give up this war until "no single human brick lies atop another." it seems to me that the when the humans started the conflict, they never realized what they were getting into; they never knew how far the aliens would take it. what perhaps started with a small scuffle, will not end until one of the cultures is completely destroyed.
